Hi Ladies! Wow…I am finally sitting down after a very full weekend. I did not cook ALL DAY! Can ya believe it?! We had left overs from Christmas for lunch -then used a TGIFriday’s gift card for dinner with the kidos.
Did you all have a Merry Christmas? Here are some photos of the weekend….it was busy! I took as many photos as I could, but as always I wish there were more!
He has brought us SO much joy this weekend! What a great puppy…I am amazed at how smart he is for being only 8 weeks old. If you are thinking of getting a dog, I would recommend looking into a Labradoodle! No shedding, hypoallergenic, mild temperament and great with children. What a sweet little blessing.
Christmas Eve we went to my In-laws and celebrated with them-can’t you just tell how proud they are? So sweet….love them. We all went to church service together after we ate-it was beautiful! I can’t tell you how thankful I am for our amazing church and church family.
For 11 years, Geoff and I have exchanged gifts with one another on Christmas Eve night…we turn on the tree lights, the fireplace, and Christmas music and have a “moment” together. This year Geoff got me black sweater boots, a tea kettle, neat cups, lotion, and a drink dispenser. Love everything! Thanks Honey!
I got him a baseball caddy, some coaching gear, a golf outfit, and an Under Armor hoodie. I think he liked everything! I can’t go wrong going sports related…lol.
On Christmas morning-I woke up at 6am to start cooking. All burners were going-bacon in the skillet, sausage gravy in the back, onions and ham for the quiche, and skillet potatoes to the right. The kids got up at 6:45-so I took a break for an hour to watch them open up gifts, then I got back at it so breakfast could be ready when the grandparents came over at 9! (this is our tradition)
My son was up first- and was just begging to open up a gift before the girls got up. He got a “catch-all” for baseball/soccer.
Then down came the girls…my youngest got a Jeep ride on toy (my Black Friday deal! yea!) and my friend sold me her daughter’s vanity for my other sweetie (which is in great shape-she didn’t notice it wasn’t new!)
Her big gift was an American Girl doll…here they are in matching outfits (from Kohls-a WAY better deal than the American Girl website…sorry! I don’t even spend that much money on MY clothes let alone a dolly’s, hehe-anyone with me? anyone?)
It was so nice outside (much to my dismay- I LOVE a white Christmas) the girls took Manny for a ride.
Chef Mickey’s Breakfast Pizza ready to go into the oven! (this is so yummy) You can use Udi’s pizza crust for a gluten-free option.
Homemade cinnamon rolls done..
It’s 9 am and we are ready for Christmas morning breakfast!
After breakfast we played with toys…my son and father-in-law love to play chess together. Memories in the making!
Thanks for letting me share some photos of our Christmas. All of these “things” we give one another are just small ways we share God’s love …but if we didn’t have one single “thing” to give one another (which in all honesty, we had a year like that when Geoff was unemployed)…we would still always have the perfect gift God gave to us….the gift of Jesus-He is all that matters and is the reason of the season. So thankful for all the blessings in my life-God is so good.
