Our Easter…

We had such a great weekend with family and friends, remembering the resurrection of Christ.

First of all- How awesome is our God that he would come down in human form, live a perfect life, take on all of our sins, go through pain we can’t imagine, die for us, rise- then offer everlasting life to us? As hard as my tiny brain tries to comprehend this kind of love…I can never fully understand why and how-all I can say is Hallelujah!

Yesterday, my 4 year old and I made my Father-in-Law his favorite Carrot Cake for his birthday…

Then, we had family over for dinner…the menu? Ham, Homemade Mac n Cheese, Cole Slaw, Corn, Bacon Wrapped Asparagus, rolls, and sweet tea. I’ll post some of these recipes this/next week that I haven’t shared yet.

After we ate, we had the kids leave the dining room so Geoff Nehrenz could hide the resurrection eggs. {Love this gift my Mother-in-law brought over!}

Geoff was smooth, hiding the eggs in places the children would NEVER find…..

Ok, ok- the egg in Grandpa’s hoodie was a good one…lol.

Then the kidos took turns opening their eggs and telling us what the items in the egg meant…this one was a donkey.

The money that Judas took…

After that, we ended with some more Easter Mad Libs and Scategories with Grandma 🙂

I pray you all had a great weekend and will be back with more recipes this week!

Love to you, Janelle
