Who would have thought there were so many different ways to prepare green beans? Cooked in bacon, stirred in marinara, french cut, fresh cut, frozen, canned, fresh, boiled with a ham hock…I could go on and on. This is my husband’s favorite way I make green beans. They are fresh, crisp, nutty, flavorful and they look fancy (don’t tell anyone your steamed them in the microwave, lol). Oh, I forgot to add quick and easy too!

I love fast healthy food! We have a lot of us living in our house and are always trying to find ways to make food faster! Thanks for sharing this recipe!
I made these green beans the other night for some guest and let me tell you, there were none left!!
I bought the Steam Fresh green beans in the frozen dept. All I had to do was put the whole bag in the
microwave and steam, then finished on the stove top! Delicious! I will definitly be making these again.
That is such great news Lorrie! Easy and tasty …a win!
I have tried green beans several ways, but I’m just not a fan. My daddy makes some w/ garlic, onions, tomatoes, mozzarella, & whatever else he puts in there – I love those. And I loved these!! I made yours last night & they were very good – I had seconds! My husband does like basic green beans (cooked to death) so I didn’t expect him to like these so much, but he really liked them a lot. Thanks, Janelle! This was a hit for us. It is SO easy I will be making them a lot!!
This was super yummy! I just made them for my hubby and he asked for the recipe so he can make them at his fire station. Thank you for sharing. I am going to offer to bring the green beans to our thanksgiving get together this year!
Bless you.
Thats wonderful!!!!
