My dear friend Courtney from Women Living Well recommend I try the Duggar’s Hasbrown Casserole- she said it was a hit in her home! So, I did just that….and sure enough, my family loved it. I changed a couple things based on our personal taste…but you may want to look at Courtney’s recipe to see the original! Enjoy!
Brown your choice of meat. I used a ground beef- you might choose ground turkey or chicken.
Whisk together cream of chicken soup and evaporated milk.
In a 9×13 pan spread ground beef and top with Tator Tots (or hasbrowns).
Pour soup mixture over top.
Sprinkle with cheddar cheese.
Bake in a 350 oven for about an hour. Enjoy!
- 1lb ground beef, cooked and drained
- 2lb bag of tator tots (frozen)
- 2 cans Cream of Chicken soup
- 1 12oz can of evaporated milk
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- Pre-heat oven to 350
- Place cooked and drained ground beef at the bottom of a 9×13
- top with frozen tator tots
- In a bowl whisk together soup and evaporated milk, pour over top
- Top with cheese
- Cover and bake for about an hour or until bubbly
That does look tasty!! I love the Duggar’s apple dumpling recipe. Soooooooo stinkin’ delicious.
Mmmm!
And its funny because we call this Grandma’s tator tot casserole from my hubby’s grandma except ours is a little different…..add the veggies. Our recipe for a big family casserole is 2 lbs ground beef, topped with bag of frozen green beans(cooked) or a couple of cans if you use canned, topped with large can of cream of mushroom or 2 reg size cans, and then topped with bag of tator tots……cook for 90 min at 350. We don’t use evap milk or cheese and we love it!!! Just another version for you to try. π
Sounds deeeelish!
This is how the Amish make it!
Amish add in green beans, I mean. π
Making this for the second time. It’s just Mom
and I, so we’ll have plenty of leftovers. If it’s
good enough for “THE DUGGAR’S”, it’s good
Enough for us!! πβ€οΈππΌππ½π΅πΌπ©πΌπΊπ
