Through my thus small road traveled eating wheat-free, dairy-free, and egg-free I just needed to give one giant shout out to a brand that has made my life “normal”…UDI’S!!
Can I get a witness?Β
The two things through this process that have me in “snarl face” mode are breads and pastries. So many of the pre-made’s are like eating a pieces of Β thick sandpaper! I would rather pass on the carbs and stick with fruits, meats and veggies.
But…I don’t have to. Thanks to Udi’s!!! I am so grateful to have found this product! YEA!
I am not missing out..see! Β Here I made a simple cheeseburgerΒ (scroll all the way down for the recipe on this link) and Oven Baked Fries. (I cut them into wedges in this photo)
*This is not a paid advertisement- Remember, I don’t get paid to do these things! My reward is in heaven… π
We love Udi’s, too. We have two kids that can’t have gluten or casein.
Hey Janelle. I can agree with you that finding products to help you eat as close to normal as possible is a blessing. I just visited the allergist yesterday. I tested positive for allergies to sesame seeds, eggs and black pepper. Fresh ground black pepper has been my friend for quite some time. I have to eliminate these items for 2 weeks and then reintroduce them to see how I react. Whew! What a journey. God’s grace is suffucient though π
Janelle –
My husband went gluten free this summer and I will agree that Udi’s is a life-saver! π He says the two things he missed most were pizza and donuts. Udi’s pizza crust is close enough to do the trick for him. π We are still looking for a good donut that we can get locally, but he does like the Udi’s muffins, so they are close enough for now. Glad to see you discovered Udi’s! π
Christmas time may be hard with the goodies, but you will make it! π Any treat recipes you find that are gluten free would be great! (The gluten ones are great too – the rest of us are still gluten eaters and we love treats! π )
Amanda- I miss pizza too! I just ordered some for my family because I am off to a Good Morning Girls Christmas party….it smells SO good. I just made some delicious smelling/looking Christmas cut outs….then, I tried to make some gluten free, dairy free and egg free ones… I tasted the batter and literally threw up…I was horrified (shh…don’t tell anyone I made something that bad!!!) I have “mastered” cooking allergy free and feel very confident sharing …but baking? It has been a challenge!!!!! I SO wish I was JUST gluten free and not the others!!!! lol! I could make a mean gluten free cookie, but why if I can’t have eggs and milk? Thanks for letting me vent sweet friend…lol!!! It is a bit of a challenge, but honestly- God has really been such a rock in this venture..I can’t say that it has been as hard as I thought it would be. Love to you, Janelle
