This is a delicious recipe I make out of my Paula Deen “Just Desserts” cookbook. I typically have the ingredients on hand and am able to “whip it up” in no time! You can add nuts to this recipe as well. Serve warm out of the oven with vanilla ice cream and you have yourself one incredible sweet ending!

LOVE chocolate chip cookies and LOVE pie… what a fun combination! Thanks for sharing your recipe!
Oh my goodness that looks yummy!!
This looks DIVINE! Quick question – do you bake the pie crust at all before filling it?
Thanks! Jenny C.
Hi Jenny! Nope! Just fill it frozen and it works! Whala!
I have made this twice already.. my dad loved it last night..
Aww, so glad Dad liked it Sarah!!! Thanks for posting!!
Janelle, I tried the choc. cookie pie and I think I did something wrong (by the way, I'm NOT a cook!). I kept having to put it back in the oven longer and longer to try and get it to "firm" up. I finally took it out before the crust burned and it still was a really gooey consistency – kind of like I had tried to bake butter and sugar alone. I wondered if the sugar was supposed to be 1/2 cup and the flour 1 cup instead? Also I did microwave my butter slightly longer than 15 sec. because it was still so firm and wondered if that could have an effect. Anyway, just wanted to know if you had any ideas why it would be so gooey and never firm up? Thanks! I do really love your blog, I'm just cooking-challenged! Have a blessed day, Jenny C.
Hi Jenny!! Thank you for asking for help, that is why I am here my friend!!!! I double checked to make sure, the recipe is correct. The butter might have been the problem. You could soften the butter (it would still have the butter shape but would mix well), or you could melt the butter and allow it to cool…adding hot butter would make it runny. Do you know why I know this? My own mess ups! π This pie does take up to an hour to cook, which is why the oven temp is set lower than most recipes
(325). I hope this helps Jenny!! Keep trying Honey! Love, Janelle
Janelle! I added walnuts to mine, and oh, so divine! π
I love walnuts in mine too! Thanks Deanna!!! I better not make any of these anytime soon…we have WAY too many Girl Scout Cookies in the house! lol
I have this in the oven RIGHT now! Thanks Nelle!!!

BLessings from Costa Rica!
I've been trying to resist this recipe for some time now and am giving in! It looks and sounds WONDERFUL and I'm afraid I'd eat the WHOLE thing! π LOL! I'm making this for Bible Study so I can share the wealth.
I am currently baking this for the second time. It is really good – incredibly rich. Our guests loved it! My batter turned out much looser than Janelle’s, but baking it longer (1 hr 15 min – 1 hr 30 minutes at 325) worked out perfectly. Thanks for helping me be comfy in my kitchen, Janelle!
