Ain’t no thang but a……Turkey Leg?

As we were walking through The Magic Kingdom I couldn’t help but notice people walking around “chowing” on HUGE Turkey Legs… I thought to myself..”Well, it was just Thanksgiving…maybe it is a seasonal thing?” Then, a few days later we went to Animal Kingdom and noticed a stand selling “Smoked Turkey Legs”…with a huge line of hungry Carnivores! For some reason, it tickled my funny bone…so, I took a few photos, had a conversation with a happy customer (who gets Turkey legs EVERY time he comes to Disney), and googled “Disney Turkey Legs”when I got back to the condo….so, here we go on a very silly quest of discovering the story behind this strange concession!

This is not your typical “corn dog” concession stand, My Friends! haha!
One of many customers.
A repeat customer!

Here is the story behind it all…..

If you have ever had one of these Turkey Legs…please post! Would love to hear how they are…I may cave and get one tomorrow! lol! This just cracks me up! ~ Janelle

My husband LOVES these. I don't like dark meat, but these are tasty. We can find them at our Renaissance festival and he really likes it when we find them at concession stands other places. Try it just for the experience!

That's funny!! Don't think I'd "share" one with anyone, but I'd try it.

    The menu rocks.

Sandi, thanks for sharing!!! Well, I may just have to try one out tomorrow!!! Darlene..lol, isn't that menu a hoot? I got the biggest kick out of this for some reason!!

  4. I live in Oklahoma and have seen these around for years at fairs and theme parks. We go to Six Flags over Texas and they have them there. We got one once, but it was just too much turkey! LOL!

  5. Janelle Nehrenz says:

Susan, it sure is a lot of turkey, lol!!

  6. My 16 year old daughter absolutely LOVES these! She always gets one at least once at Disney. She thinks she can eat the entire thing and doesn't want to share it with us. She has never finished one yet. After she is done with it, she hands it off to me. I can sometimes finish it off, but not always. They are delish!! You should really try one! Your post made me smile. Love it that you got such a kick out of it!

Stef, that is too funny! Love it! We went to Epcot today and each country represented a food specialty at their concession stand..France had crepes, Mexico had burritos, Japan had Sushi….the USA represented..THE TURKEY LEG and Popcorn! This is just cracking me up, I can't stand how funny it is!
