Ohhhh Yummm….
My sweet friend Katina brought me these amazing grapes last week and of course, I had to share. They are brilliant…seriously brilliant. Easy, somewhat nutritious {hey, there are worse things}, and addictive! My entire family gobbled them up. I *may* not have shared the last few in the bowl {sorry honey!}.
For those of us with food allergies- these are where it is AT! They satisfy that sweet tooth craving, you have got to try them!
Thank you SO much Katina!!!! What a blessing. I will definitely make these over and over.
Frosted Grapes |
- 1 lb of red seedless grapes
- 1 3 oz package grape jell-O {not prepared}
- Water
- Rinse grapes in a colander and blot with paper towels {you want them a little wet, but not too wet}.
- Place 1/3 of Jell-O in a large Ziploc bag.
- Toss 1/3 of grapes in the Jell-O until covered.
- Place in bowl.
- Repeat 3 more times.
- Refrigerate for 2-3 hours {or even freeze} until ready to eat!
- YUmmmmmm
I love these! We call them dusty grapes ( i know, horrible name) but we use sugarfree jello and they turn out great too and are a little better for you. Yummm
Yummy! Do you think this would work with green grapes?
yes ma’am! and any kind of jell-o – its versatile!
Thank you for posting! I remember having the seas a kid, and I have wanted to make them. Now I know how!
Oh, and I had the green grape version…yum.
My dad used to “trick” us as kids and freeze grapes with a dusting of sugar. The freezing makes them much sweeter. My husband and I now “trick” ourselves by just freezing them. Makes you feel like you are getting away with something, but are just having fruit.
I’ve never tried them with the jello, but I’ve heard its good.
My family does this with sliced apples. I use any flavor sugar free jello (my mom’s favorite is cherry) and it keeps the apples from turning brown! Excited about trying with grapes!
Made these tonight, so good:) Janelle have you tried them with sugar free jello? and any other flavors/ or fruit combos?:)
mmm….. I love frozen grapes sprinkled with a packet of sweetener, these might be even better.
Thanks, Robin!
