when you say mountain dew around the edges – is it the edges of the crescent roll or the edges of the pan?

I have made these for years only simpler and still delish!! Melt 1 stick of butter, a cup of sugar and a cup of apple juice in a 9 x 13 pyrex dish ; roll a quarter of an apple in a crescent roll and bake according to directions
