Hi Ladies! I made these DELICIOUS GF Chocolate Chip Cookies the other night … My camera was charging so I took a couple shots with my phone. I wasn’t planning on posting them- but I HAD to- they were SOOOO good!Β
I mean REALLY! Even the dough was good….{shhhh-I know, I know- raw eggs}. But tell me…how many GF cookie doughs are good? You know what I’m talking about…lol.
I simply made my ” The Perfect Chocolate Chip Cookie” recipe, but instead of using All-Purpose Flour, I used Silvana’s Flour Blend.Β The ingredients were simple to find..in fact, I found them all at a local market {I didn’t have to go to a fancy shmancy organic food place! Wohoo!}.Β
Her recipe makes enough for a batch of cookies and then some. Store the rest of the flour blend in an air tight container and use it for a later date…
I would be willing to guess most people would not be able to tell the difference between these and the glutenous maximus version. Rich, butter, fluffy, soft….Mmmmmmm….My children gobbled them up {and they can always tell if something is gluten-free….not this time, hehe}
It’s that flour blend…it’s such an incredible substitute. Most GF flour blends give such a bad taste to baked goods…but I give Silvana a huge round of applause- she really nailed this one!! I will never try another GF flour blend again- this one is BINGO.
- 2 1/2 c Gluten Free Flour Blend {Silvana’s}
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 c butter, softened
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 pkg vanilla instant pudding
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 2 eggs
- 12 oz semi-sweet chocolate chips
- Preheat oven to 375
- Combine flour, baking soda and salt..set aside.
- In a large mixing bowl, beat together butter, sugars, vanilla, and pudding mix.
- Beat until smooth and creamy.
- Beat in eggs.
- Add flour mixture.
- Stir in chocolate chips.
- Place in refrigerator for 1 hour {don’t skip this step}.
- Place heaping Tbsps of batter onto un-greased cookie sheet {I use parchment paper}
- Bake until golden appx 10-12 mins.
- Take out of oven and let sit 2 mins on cookie sheet before transferring to cooling rack.
Thanks for sharing! I have a ton of GF friends who are always asking me for recipes {because I blog…}. Loved being able to share this with them!
Hi,
Have you ever seen the recipes for cookies using a cake mix? I bet you could make a variety of cookies using a gluten free cake mix. Just a thought.
Sandy
We have a fabulous Gluten-free Brownie recipe and now it’s looks like we’ve got a real winner in the Chocolate Chip Cookie department! Thank you for posting!
Janelle, this is soo awesome. I’ve recently found out that I have a gluten intolerance. And this will allow me to enjoy cookies again. I still eat them even thought they give me a tummy ache. I am going to try this and see. I love cookies! hehe! π
Thank you so much for sharing this recipe.
Blessings,
ADrienne
Recently i’ve found out I am allergic to wheat, rye, barley and outs and I’ve just started experimenting with gluten-free flour. It’s very different to wheat one. So I’ll definitely try out your recipe. Thanks so much for sharing it. Greetings!
Thanks, Janelle, for the praise for my gluten-free flour blend…It’s definitely been a lifesaver to thousands of us! Best, Silvana

Where is the Friday round up?! I love that feature π I am not complaining though, this recipe looks delicious. Thanks Janelle for all your work. This website is one of my favourites.
More and more of my friends are becoming GF…….This recipe is definately going to be hit with so many people π Good Job, Janelle!
What size Instant Pudding? 3.4 oz or 5.1 oz??? Help!!
3.4
Thank you!!
Do u have to use the vanilla pudding in the recipe?
You don’t have to, but it’s what makes the cookies special…in my opinion π
Hi Janelle,
These cookies look wonderful. Have you ever tried any sugar substitutes ?
I have not, but that is not to say it wouldn’t work!!!
Hi Janelle,
Thanks for the cookie recipe. I am just my 2nd week into cooking gluten free because of the book Wheat Belly by William Davis M.D. So I have been in search of how to make foods that my husband will eat.
Anyway I have just finished baking these cookies and they are very good. The only thing is I am having trouble with myself (my husband won’t have a problem with it) that they are sooo sweet. Is there anything I can do to take some of the sweetness out without messing up the recipe?
The texture is great and the favorite is great, but the sweetness is more than I like.
Keep up the great work. I love your website even tho I am a grandmother.
Hi Renita! Did you add the entire bag of chocolate chips? This could be the issue – use half a bag next time. Let me know π
Going to try this today! So excited I found your blog! I’ve been gluten free for almost a month and the transition is hard on not only me, but my family. You give me hope!! Thanks for sharing with us!!! π
Thank you!
Janelle! These are amazing gluten free chocolate chip cookies! I’ve been searching for the perfect recipe and this is it. I used the new Trader Joe’s All Purpose G/F Flour (I hope to try Silvana’s mix sometime soon…it’s just what I had on hand) and they still turned out so so yummy. Thank you!
So glad you enjoyed them!!
