  1. My daughter is going to LOVE this. I’m almost scared to make it because it might ruin her for regular fruit salad 🙂

  2. This sounds very delicious. I would like to point out, however, that it isn’t Waldorf Salad. I only say this because I recently made Waldorf Salad and hunted the internet as I couldn’t remember what was used in it. It is made with mayonnaise or salad dressing (which was the part I couldn’t remember) and is traditionally made with apples, celery, and walnuts. So if someone is looking for a Waldorf Salad recipe and googles this, they will be in for a surprise!

  3. My family calls it Waldorf salad too. We use MUCH less sugar (I made it today with 2 cups whipping cream and 4 tablespoons of sugar, and it’s perfect). You don’t need much sugar with all the fruit.

We also add dates and well-drained mandarin oranges, and I personally leave out the walnuts.

  4. We have had this salad as a regular holiday dish. Love it!!!

This is more like an Ambrosia salad. I agree with another commenter. Waldorf salad is tart apples, celery and walnuts with a mayonaise base thats lightly sweetened.
