EASY Pumpkin Dessert

This is a delicious dessert that is very simple to make… It is perfect for when you want to make dessert for your family, but you don’t want to make an entire 9×13 pan. You may save the remaining cake mix for cupcakes if you’d like. Enjoy!

Hi Janelle, I have just loved all your recipes. I always am looking for something new to do. When I saw your pumpkin dessert recipe tonight, I literally went to the store at 9 30pm because I just had to make it and it had been a long week here and it was my official non pregnant craving. I ended up getting the wrong pumpkin can, the regular pure pumpkin and not the one with it all together. I just improvised and added spices, some sugar and salt along with my pure pumpkin. I just had some and it was heaven on a plate. Thanks, I love your blog and saw you first at Women living well. God Bless!

  14. Janelle Nehrenz says:

Sarah…ok, I JUST did the same thing!!! haha! The pumpkin can tricked me too! But, like you said…it is easy to improvise with pumpkin spices and …whala…deliciousness happens regardless! lol.. So glad you enjoyed the dessert..bless you!

  15. Sarah B. SMITH says:

So I ended up making this again, this time the right way. I made it in a 8X8 and not a 9X13 the first time. (yes, I did not follow that part of the direction..) It looked so much prettier and all the pumpkin/cake mix got some butter and walnut lovin'. I brought it to be serve as part of a thanksgiving meal for our college's basketball team and foreign exchange students that lived too far away to go home. A lot of them didn't even know this holiday so our church served them a full thanksgiving meal on Wednesday night after our Pastor explained to them the holiday and we prayed over them. It was awesome, and my dish was wiped cleaned.

  16. Janelle Nehrenz says:

Oh great Sarah!!!! So gla everyone liked it…and what a great gathering that sounds like! Love it!
